Yoga for Survivors
Service Description
Yoga for Survivors will offer a trauma-informed space to open up in a support group while incorporating asana, meditation, and breathwork. Developing the connection between mind and body is a powerful way to create safety in the body, while building trust in yourself. The freedom a yoga practice allows creates profound vulnerability. The support group will explore specific topics like the practice of discernment, non-attachment, and ahimsa (non-violence) through discussion, journaling, and self-reflection. This class is designed to build community among those whose lives have been impacted by sexual trauma; come knowing this will be a safe space, while understanding the topics may be triggering. Build your community, support one another.
