Everything unfolded through time with trusted teachers and guides that were leading me from one step to the next. Little did I know that my entire journey was leading me towards teaching YOGA , which has been the most joyful, extraordinary and humbling experiences of my life. My exalted Gurus are always with me in my daily life working through my husband , mother , grandmother who has now passed and each student who bravely carries the LIGHT."

NITHYA

As a seasoned technologist from India, I had the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest yoga teachers, including Regeesh Vattakandy and Mrinali Madhukar. I specialize in Hatha and Vinyasa.

As an artist, I am always exploring how to use my mind and body to their full potential through various forms of art and yoga. My curiosity about the science behind body movements and the brain led me to study and practice yoga, and I have come to believe that our bodies are capable of achieving almost anything if we can convince our minds to allow it.

I am grateful for the strength and energy that yoga brings into my life, and I am eager to share these benefits with others.

Yoga is the journey, on and off the mat, of finding liberation while living. The practice of yoga reminds us that we are all connected, we are one, we are love. The path to liberation comes from quieting the mind and meeting our highest self. Asana practice lets us more clearly see ourselves and find peace in our bodies - relearning and rediscovering our truest selves.

Emma studies and teaches in the Jivamukti method. Her classes pair challenging vinyasa sequences with chanting, meditation, hands-on assists and relaxation.

JESSICA

Healing from sexual trauma comes in many modalities and is a constant practice. Through a long and ongoing yoga practice, Jessica has learned to honor her body that challenged the ways her body was violated. Applying yoga philosophy has allowed her to find STRENGTH, to see herself as a SURVIVOR, to LOVE herself .

Jessica offers a trauma-informed space to open up in a support group while incorporating asana, meditation, and breathwork. Developing the connection between mind and body is a powerful way to create safety in the body, while building trust in yourself. The freedom a yoga practice allows creates profound vulnerability. The support group will explore specific topics like the practice of discernment, non-attachment, and ahimsa (non-violence) through discussion, journaling, and self-reflection. Her classes are designed to build community among those whose lives have been impacted by sexual trauma; come knowing this will be a safe space, while understanding the topics may be triggering.

Yoga has provided me with a powerful way to re-member creativity, care, and community in every aspect of life. My classes are curious, safe, and imaginative experiences that help us come back to ourselves and each other — and release some pressure and expectations. I believe in the power of storytelling, and yoga as liberation that we co-create as lifelong students and teachers.

ZARA

My journey to discover my passion for teaching yoga has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life. I transitioned from professional dance to yoga because I believe that yoga deeply nourishes our bodies: physically, mentally, and energetically. My teaching work inspires me to create flows that bring together conscious knowledge, meditative reflection, strength, flexibility, exertion, and release. My classes emphasize conscious pranayama techniques to harvest a deeper connection between mind and body. I love seeing and hearing the breath of my students bring them back into their bodies and into the present moment. My goal is always to foster a safe, inclusive space for every human who comes into my orbit. The greatest gift of yoga is to connect with ourselves and to be in community with others on their journey toward healing transformation and deeper consciousness. With every intention we set, with every breath we take, we awaken the divine within.

JULIA

Rooted in the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions, Julia's classes welcome all bodies and levels of experience, while honoring contemporary culture and lifestyle (beats anyone?) and being open to play and possibilities on the mat. In 2023 Julia completed 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman at The Yoga Shanti in New York, and also incorporates the voices of all of her teachers over the past 20 or so years.  Julia is excited to share, practice and learn yoga together while building community with all of you.  Her favorite Sutra is 1.1 Atha yoga-anusasana, roughly translated to: Now, the teachings of yoga!

SHEMER

When enough people make the same movement, say the same things, and share the same feelings, their experiences begin to manifest great power. The motions and postures of yoga bring peace to the mind. The philosophy and community bring peace to the heart. I am lucky enough to have passed down this ancient tradition of self-care, and I'm excited to share it with you! I specialize in Vinyasa and am drawn to fiery yet graceful flow. My classes provide the opportunity to build strength but also find ease within your body.
